ABOUT
Based on Oscar Wilde’s 1890 classic dark tale of temptation and vanity, Dorian Gray: The Musical tells the story of Dorian Gray, who, through the influence of Lord Henry Wotten, sells his soul in exchange for eternal youth. While his portrait, painted by Basil Hallward, ages and takes on the effects of his sinful ways, Dorian remains the same as the day his portrait was painted. His temptations spiral him out control and threaten the lives of all around him.

Chris discovered a love of music and theatre at a very young age - from sitting on the kneeler and playing the pew like an organ at church to create and performing skits with this sister.

While living in Wilmington, NC for 15 years, Chris performed in over a dozen local community theatre shows. His favorites include originating the role of "Julius" in the world premeire of POMPEII: A NEW MUSICAL, "Mr. Smee" in PETER PAN, "Too Darn Hot Chris" in KISS, ME KATE, "Handsome Alan" in BABES IN TOYLAND, "Ryan" in Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, and “Adam” in the world premiere read-
through workshop of his first musical, FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS, co-written with composer/lyricist, Barbara Gallagher.
As a playwright, Chris has also written A CHRISTMAS CAROL: SLIGHTLY ABRIDGED, CHECK, PLEASE!: A TEN MINUTE MUSICAL, and THE CHRONICLES OF PERCY PICKWICK. DORIAN GRAY is his first collaboration with musician/composer, Kevin Mucchetti. As a songwriter, Chris has written over a hundred songs, psalms, Mass settings, and acclamations for churches of various denominations, many of which have been translated into Spanish.

He earned his B.A. in Theatre (with a Vocal Music Minor) and B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2005. He earned his M.A. in Theatre from Villanova University in 2016. DORIAN GRAY was his thesis project in playwriting, for which he was granted "passed with distinction."
Chris is a member of ASCAP and the Dramatists Guild of America. His music has been downloaded all over the world thanks to iTunes.
